About This Countdown Timer

Hong Kong doesn't do subtle, and honestly, why would it? From up here the city looks like someone spilled a circuit board across a bay — green highways curling through the dark, towers stacked so tight they blur into one bright wall, a harbour full of boats turned into a field of little white sparks. Behind it all, the mountains sit like sleeping animals, black against that deep cobalt sky. I've been to a lot of skylines. This one hums. There's an energy in it that's hard to describe, like the whole place is running a little hotter than everywhere else, everyone moving, everyone working, everyone eating at midnight. It's exhausting and thrilling at the same time. If you go, ride the Star Ferry at night and let the harbour do the talking. Then find a rooftop and look down. You'll understand why people call this one of the great cities. It doesn't ask for your attention. The harbour is the whole point of this city, and after dark it becomes a screen, every tower on both sides competing to be the brightest thing in the frame. Ferries cut across it, slow and lit up, tiny against all that glass. It takes it.
