About This Countdown Timer

Vancouver does glass like nobody else. Whole neighbourhoods of it, towers stacked with balconies, every window catching the same big white clouds, until the buildings start to look like they've been cut from the sky itself. I stood on a rooftop one clear afternoon and just looked, and it felt less like a city and more like a very expensive aquarium for people. The clouds were doing that thing where they pile up enormous and bright over the mountains, and the water was somewhere down below, and everything smelled like salt and cut grass. It's a young skyline, still growing, cranes here and there, but it knows what it wants to be. Green, glassy, close to the mountains and the sea. If you visit on a sunny day, get up high somewhere and look across. The light does something to all that glass that no filter can fake. Then go walk the seawall and remember why everybody moves here. Some cities impress you. All that glass turns the sky into a second skyline, clouds and blue repeated on every facade at slightly different angles. Look up. That is the whole instruction. This one just quietly convinces you to stay.
